Hand out drops fairly in a group without arguments
When three players share a dungeon and one item drops, someone is unhappy. Pure chance gives one player everything over an evening. A simple memory of who got what lets the system even things out over time and still feel random enough to be fun.
Why this works
People accept a bad outcome when the rule is clear and applies to everyone. Counting the worth of what each person already got, not just how many items, makes fairness visible, and waiting time settles ties without anyone arguing.
When not to use it
Skip it when members play fixed roles and a healer needs one kind of gear that the rule hands to someone else, or among friends who would rather talk it out. Let people claim by need first, or use a shared chest.
