Spielerando

Craft an item when the ingredients sit in several stacks

The recipe needs three wood, the bag has two stacks of wood, and the game says there is not enough. Or it takes the ingredients and then has nowhere to put the result. This entry makes crafting all-or-nothing and takes from the stacks in a sensible order.

Why this works

Players think in what they own, not in how it is split across slots. Counting the whole bag and doing the swap on a copy, which only replaces the real bag if it all works, means a failed craft can never eat the ingredients.

When not to use it

Do not do the all-in-one swap when crafting takes long or happens in the world, such as a forge that works for minutes. There the materials are used up when the job starts, and the result arrives later.
