Plan how many trips a carrier needs between small resource spots

A worker with a sack that holds ten walks past four small piles holding four, three, eight and two. Dividing the total by ten gives the wrong number of trips, because the worker may not pick up half a pile later or skip one. This entry follows the walk and counts each trip.

Why this works

Carrying is a walk, not a sum. A worker takes what is on the way and cannot split the day arbitrarily, so following the route in order gives the true number of trips and tells the player how long each one really is.

When not to use it

Skip it when carriers are many and the supply is steady, so a rough average is close enough, or when workers choose their own route freely. Then a simple rate per worker is easier and almost as accurate.
