Let a boss attack pattern speed up in a rage phase without jumping

When a boss gets angry and its sweeping attack becomes faster, the spinning beam can suddenly jump to a new angle, and shots meant for fixed moments are skipped or fired twice. Here is how to change speed in the middle and keep everything in place.

Why this works

Position should be built up from how far along the pattern has come, not worked out from the total time. Then changing the speed only changes the pace from now on, and the past stays where it was, so nothing snaps from one place to another.

When not to use it

It is not needed when the pattern never changes speed, or when a sudden jump is the point, such as a boss teleporting between fixed spots. Then a simple time-based position is shorter and easier to read.
