Can a bot that moves at random already clear my maze? Check before any tester
Before you spend human testers on a level, ask how easily pure chance gets through it. A level that blind wandering clears often has no puzzle in it. This entry shows how to work out that chance exactly, without running thousands of random attempts.
Why this works
A puzzle that blind wandering solves often has no real puzzle in it. Spreading the chance over the board step by step gives the exact odds at once, the same every time, so you learn this before spending any human tester.
When not to use it
Chance only measures levels solved by walking around. It says nothing about puzzles with keys, switches or choices that need a plan, and a low chance does not mean the level is good. Always follow it with real testers.
