I keep telling my AI the jump is a bit too low and it overshoots every time
"A bit more" and "a bit less" lead an AI to swing back and forth around the right value without ever landing on it. This helper turns your short answers into the next value to try, narrowing the range each time until you say it is good.
Why this works
Every answer of too low or too high is a fence. Once you have one on each side, the answer lies between them, and the middle halves the range. Without that memory each guess forgets the earlier ones.
When not to use it
If your answers contradict each other because other settings changed in between, the range closes on nothing. Fix everything else first, then tune one number.
