Check that a "need 30 stars to continue" gate can be passed by a normal player

A gate asks for a number of stars, and the levels before it add up to exactly that number if the player is perfect. Everyone else is stuck on a wall. Here is how to test gates against a realistic player, not a perfect one, and see by how much they miss.

Why this works

A gate is fair only if an ordinary player could have earned its price from what lies before it. Opening gates in the order they open for the player, and counting only what a typical player gets, shows where progress would really stop.

When not to use it

Skip it when stars can also be bought or earned in side modes, or when the gate is meant as a hard goal for the best players. Then judge the price against all the ways to earn, or on purpose accept that few will pass.
