Spielerando

Catch a scene that talks about something the player never learned

When scenes can be visited in different orders, a line may refer to a secret that this player has not met yet, and the dialogue makes no sense. Here is a check that finds those scenes and prints a path on which the secret is still unknown.

Why this works

A story is only as safe as its worst route. Checking every route by hand is impossible, but asking whether a scene can be reached without the lesson finds the weak one, and the route it prints shows the writer exactly where to fix it.

When not to use it

Not worth it for a short story with one straight line, where you can simply read it through. It also cannot tell whether a hint is clear enough. If the secret may be guessed from context, a playtest says more.
