Spielerando

Cap how many rare finds an area can hand out per day

On a shared server, one patient player or a group of friends can empty every rare spot in a region within hours. A budget that refills on its own keeps rare items rare without punishing anyone. The trick is how the refill is counted, because the obvious way quietly loses progress.

Why this works

Rarity is a promise about how often something happens, so the limit must follow time, not players. A supply that refills at a steady pace gives the same trickle to everyone, and saving up progress keeps waiting fair instead of wasting it.

When not to use it

Skip it in a game for one player, or where finding rare things is the whole joy of exploring: a hidden cap there just feels like the world being stingy. Place a few fixed treasures by hand instead.
