Check your unlock prices for a wall where the wait suddenly becomes unbearable

If every upgrade costs three times the last one, there is a moment where saving up takes far longer than anyone will sit through. You can find it before players do, from the prices and income alone. This entry shows how to compute the waits, including money left over.

Why this works

A price is only fair relative to how fast the player earns. Playing out the buying order in advance shows the exact step where waiting jumps from short to painful, before any real player meets it. Then you can check that spot against where people actually leave.

When not to use it

Do not use it when players have several ways to earn, buy in a different order or get help from events, because one fixed path would mislead you. Then test with a few real players, or try several routes and compare them.
