In a card-pair memory game, extra taps during the flip-back must be ignored
Two cards that do not match stay visible for a moment, and players keep tapping, which flips a third card, breaks the pair count or turns a card back by mistake. This entry gives the small set of rules that keeps the board correct however fast people tap.
Why this works
While two cards are showing, the game is waiting for a pause to end, and every tap in that time must change nothing. Keeping the whole game as one value, with a second step for the end of the pause, makes that rule easy to see and test.
When not to use it
If two players take turns, or cards flip back by a rule other than a short pause, a lock on all taps is not enough. Then say whose tap counts, and keep that in the same value so the screen and the rule never disagree.
