My match-three board starts with ready-made rows that clear by themselves
A board filled at random often contains rows of three from the very first moment, so points appear before the player has moved. Re-rolling until it is clean is slow and can loop forever. Here is a way to fill the board in a single pass that avoids the problem by construction.
Why this works
A bad start is easier to prevent than to repair. If each new tile simply avoids the colours that would finish a row with what is already placed, the board is clean the moment it is complete, with no retries and no chance of an endless loop.
When not to use it
Skip it when the opening board is meant to be hand-made, such as a puzzle level with a planned layout or a tutorial that teaches one specific match. Place those tiles by design and check them, rather than drawing them by chance.
