Keep gifts apart from plain items so the story can say who gave them

A pressed flower from a friend is not the same as any flower. If the bag merges them into one pile, the game can no longer say who gave it or when, and the scene where the friend notices it cannot happen. This entry keeps such things apart and finds them again for the right character.

Why this works

A story scene needs to know where a thing came from, and a pile only knows how many there are. Once two pieces are merged, the history is gone for good, so anything the story may point back to must stay one distinct piece.

When not to use it

Skip it for things nobody will ever refer to, like coins, arrows or common herbs: tracking every piece clutters the bag and costs space for nothing. Keep ordinary stacks for those, and mark only the few things the story really remembers.
