Find the minute the city stopped growing, long before the player stopped playing
Players rarely quit in the middle of a fast climb. They usually leave after a stretch where nothing improved. This entry shows how to find where that flat stretch begins in a growth curve, so you can look at what the game offered at that point.
Why this works
People leave when progress stops feeling like progress, not when it stops completely. A change that is big at the start is small later, so only a relative measure matches what the eye sees. The start of the flat stretch shows when the stall began, well before the exit.
When not to use it
Do not use it when growth comes in big steps or when the flat stretch is meant, like a calm build-up before a boss or a season. Then flat is not a fault. Compare with what the game offered during that time instead.
