Make gold drops shrink as the player gets richer, with a floor
Gold that keeps pouring in at the same rate makes shops meaningless after a few hours. Cutting drops for the rich is the gentlest brake, but it can punish saving, reward hiding gold in the bank, or round small drops to nothing. This entry sets a curve and closes those holes.
Why this works
An economy needs a brake that works without anger. Shrinking income smoothly as wealth grows slows runaway riches, and counting every place gold can hide stops the brake from being dodged by a quick trip to the bank.
When not to use it
Don't throttle income when players are saving for a goal on purpose, as in a long city builder, or when your problem is too little to spend, not too much. Fix inflation by adding things to buy, so gold has somewhere to go.
