Walking on the ceiling: jumps and landings when gravity flips

A zone that turns gravity upside down is a favourite trick, and half the character code quietly breaks. The jump goes into the floor, the cut-short jump does the opposite, and landing is never detected. Here is what has to be written relative to gravity instead of up.

Why this works

Every rule that says rising or falling secretly assumes one direction of gravity. If you name that direction once and write all rules relative to it, flipping the world only changes one sign, and the jump, the landing and the timing tricks keep working.

When not to use it

Not worth it if only a single scripted moment needs a flip; there, a cutscene or a rotated camera is simpler. And avoid it when players get dizzy easily: flip only at clear markers and give a moment to adjust.
