Make a cloud of flies circle something and burst apart when disturbed

A buzzing swarm over something dead says a lot without a word. The swarm needs three moods: busy, scattered, and slowly gathering again, and the speed of the change matters more than the picture of a fly. Here is how to get the burst to come fast and the return to take its time.

Why this works

A swarm has a mood: it flares up at once when disturbed and calms only slowly. One mood value that rises quickly and falls slowly drives speed, spread and sound together, and the unequal pace makes it feel alive, not like a toy.

When not to use it

Skip it when the flies matter for play, such as a swarm that blocks the way or hurts the player. Real danger needs exact, predictable rules, not a soft mood that drifts with the frame.
