Who wins a shoot-out when both sides miss often and one is tougher?
Two fighters take turns, each hits with some chance, and one needs more hits to go down. The winner cannot be read off the numbers by eye, and the fighter who shoots first has a bigger edge than most people expect. This entry gives the exact winning chance.
Why this works
A duel is a chain of turns in which a miss only hands the move to the other side. The winner depends on who needs fewer hits and on who gets the first turn, so working backwards from the end of the fight gives an exact answer where comparing averages does not.
When not to use it
Skip it when fighters act at the same time, can dodge, heal, or change their aim, or when real players decide each move. Then the strict turns do not hold. Simulate many fights with the real rules and count who wins.
