The daily puzzle is not the same for everyone, so nobody can compare scores
Friends share their result and discover they played different puzzles, or the puzzle changes when the app is reopened. A daily challenge needs one recipe that every phone cooks identically. This entry gives the recipe and the one decision about time that breaks it.
Why this works
A random generator that starts from the same seed gives the same numbers on every device. Making the seed from the date text means everyone who agrees on the date agrees on the puzzle.
When not to use it
Skip it when each player should get their own puzzle, or when puzzles are authored by hand and picked from a list.
