Shots that miss the crosshair cluster in the middle instead of spreading evenly
A random offset for each bullet looks fine until you fire a magazine and see a dense knot in the centre and a thin ring outside. The cause is easy to miss, and so is the one-line change that makes the scatter honest.
Why this works
Area grows faster than distance: a ring far from the centre is much bigger than a ring close to it. For shots to land evenly, the few that go far out must be allowed more room than the many near the middle, so the distance cannot be rolled in a straight line.
When not to use it
Skip it when you want skilled aim to be rewarded with a tight core, as in many shooters where most shots should still land near the middle. Then an even spread feels too wild; pull the shots in on purpose and name that choice.
