Spielerando

Two players take each other's capital in the same turn: who wins?

If the game ends the moment one capital falls, whoever moves first wins every tie, and the other player never gets to play the turn they were promised. This entry shows when to look for a winner, what a draw is, and how teams change the answer.

Why this works

A turn is one moment for everyone, so the judgement belongs after it, not inside it. Collecting what happened first and ruling once makes the result about the position and not about who got to act earlier.

When not to use it

Not needed in games where only one thing can end the match and it happens at one clear instant, such as a race to a finish line with one winner, or a duel where a single hit ends it. There whoever arrives earliest simply wins.
