Hand over a story gift even when the bag is already full
A character presses an important key into your hand in a cutscene, and the bag has no room. The scene cannot stop and the key cannot vanish. This entry decides what happens to it, what happens to ordinary gifts, and how the player collects the rest later.
Why this works
A story must never stall on a chore like a full bag. What the plot needs is handed over no matter what, and the rest waits somewhere the player can fetch it. The player loses nothing, and the scene keeps its rhythm.
When not to use it
Do not let the bag grow past its limit when carrying weight is the heart of the game, as in a survival journey. There the player should have to decide what to drop before accepting the gift, and the scene should wait for them.
