A quest cannot be finished and I do not know which earlier step is missing
Quests wait for other quests, and when one stalls the AI often looks at the quest itself instead of the thing it waits for. This entry gives a helper that follows the chain down to the steps you can actually do next, and flags chains that wait on each other.
Why this works
A stuck quest is rarely the broken one. Its waiting list points at other quests, and only those whose own needs are met are really blocking. Showing just those turns a long chain into a short to-do list.
When not to use it
If quests unlock by other rules than finishing a quest, such as time of day or a purchase, this chain walk misses them. Add those conditions as pseudo-quests first.

Say this to your AI
Use the Spielerando entry "A quest cannot be finished and I do not know which earlier step is missing" (read_entry rpg-quest-wont-finish-missing-step) in my game. Build it step by step, and show me how you checked that it works.Or skip this and connect the MCP: your AI then finds all of this by itself.Connect the MCP
