Find pictures and sounds your game asks for that are missing or misnamed
On your computer everything shows up, then after publishing some pictures are blank because one letter is capitalised differently. This entry shows how to make the AI compare what the game asks for with what is really in the folder and list the problems in plain words.
Why this works
Your own computer forgives small differences that a web server does not. So that it works at home says little about whether it works online. Comparing the list of what the game asks for with the list of what exists catches the difference before the players do.
When not to use it
The comparison cannot see names the game builds while running, like a picture picked by number. For those, keep a written list of the possible names beside the code, or the check will report them as unused and may lead you to delete them.
In the full entry
- What to build, step by step
- Starting values and the reason for each
- 4 common mistakes and the fix
- A diagram of every state
- 40 lines of example code with 4 checks that pass
- How your AI shows you that it works
Say this to your AI
Use the Spielerando entry "Find pictures and sounds your game asks for that are missing or misnamed" (read_entry missing-or-misnamed-asset-files) in my game. Build it step by step, and show me how you checked that it works.Or skip this and connect the MCP: your AI then finds all of this by itself.Connect the MCP
