Build a three-hit combo that needs good timing, not button mashing
Mashing the attack button should not give the same result as pressing it at the right moment. This entry sets up a chain of three blows where each one can only follow in a short window, and where a late press starts over instead of failing silently.
Why this works
Skill shows when a player has to choose the moment. If the next blow is allowed at any time, there is nothing to learn. A short window after each swing creates a rhythm that can be practised, and restarting on a late press teaches it.
When not to use it
Skip it for players with slow reactions or on touch screens, where a tight window just feels broken. There, widen the window a lot or let one button press chain automatically. It also suits poorly a game of many quick enemies.
