Five units run into a tower with room for four
A tower, a transport or a barracks has limited room, and units arrive over time. If room is counted only on arrival, two units march across the map for the last place and one of them stands outside confused. This entry shows when to count a place as taken.
Why this works
A promise has to be counted when it is made, not when it is kept. Marking a place as taken the moment the order is given means no one walks far for something that is already gone.
When not to use it
It is overkill when units arrive instantly or the room is so large it never fills. It also hurts when players want a race, where the faster unit should win the last place: reserving early hands it to whoever clicked first instead.
