Spielerando

Check whether a survival game leaves the player any time for anything else

Hunger alone may be easy to handle and thirst alone too, and still the two together can leave no minute free for exploring. This entry gives the AI a quick calculation of how much of the player's time basic needs eat up, and a plain verdict you can ask to be changed.

Why this works

Each need is a cost in the player's time, and costs add up. A need that is easy alone can still be crushing beside the others, so compare each with the best way to meet it and look at the combined share of play time, not at each need in isolation.

When not to use it

A time share cannot judge a game where the struggle is the point, or where needs are met by luck, danger or timing rather than effort, such as a hunt that may fail. There, learn from watching real players survive.
