More builders on one site should help, but not twice as much
If every extra builder adds the same speed, the player stacks the whole town onto one wall and the economy turns into a trick. If extra builders add nothing, they feel pointless. Here is how to shape the curve and keep the work when builders come and go.
Why this works
Extra hands help less and less because they get in each other's way, so the speed should rise in smaller and smaller steps and finally stop. The work done belongs to the site, so people can come and go without losing any of it.
When not to use it
Skip it when work can be split into separate jobs that do not block each other, like many small fields or separate crates. There every extra worker really adds the same, and a flat rate is the honest choice.
