Economy check

Your AI adds up what comes into your game's economy, what goes out and what piles up, per hour of play and over a session, and shows where the coins come from and what they are spent on. It also catches money that appears from nowhere, which is usually a bug.

When you need it

When players end up rich with nothing to buy, or never have enough, and whenever you add a new shop, reward or price. Check it again after each change.

Say this to your AI

Use the economy check from Spielerando on my event log. First draw the flow of money as a Mermaid state diagram, list every source and sink, and say how much a player should have at each stage. Then compare the real totals, windows and end balances with that plan. Show me the numbers, every source or sink that is not in the plan, and any balance that does not add up. If there are too few sessions, say so.

Or skip this and connect the MCP: your AI then finds all of this by itself.Connect the MCP

Common questions

why do my players have too much gold

More comes in than goes out. Add up income and spending per hour, and see which source is biggest and which sink nobody uses.

what is a sink in a game economy

Anything that takes money out of the game for good, such as a repair bill or a shop that burns the coins. A source is the opposite: it adds money.

how do i find a money bug in my game

Log the balance with each gain and spend, and compare it with the running sum. If they differ, money is appearing or vanishing somewhere you do not log.
